Forgery Charge
please help. I am a recovering drug addict who was clean and sober for 7 years until my wife left last August. I had a terrible relapse and now I've been told there's a felony warrant out for my arrest issued in San Francisco, CA. I'm not exactly sure of the charges or number of counts, but I'm guessing forgery and identity theft in the amount of around $20,000.
I am not in CA at the present time because my family wanted me home before the addiction killed me, I left before any charges were filed and I am now in Pennsylvania.
I had a previous conviction for the same thing back in 1999 and I received probation which is now over.
I don't know what to do. How aggressively are they going to pursue me? Is there an SOL on this? Can I get a job? ETC.
I need some answers badly and any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You So Much For your time.

Re: Forgery Charge
Q: How aggressively are they going to pursue me?
A: I don't know the folks who filed the charges so I can't answer that one.
Q: Is there an SOL on this?
A: Yes, but it stopped running the instant the charges were filed. This warrant will be good forever...unless there is some weird California law saying otherwise.
Q: Can I get a job?
A: This will turn up on a background check. Also, you could be extradited to California.
