    Traffic Court Venue Under VC Sec. 40502(B)
    My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: California I was cited in Los Angeles County and signed to appear at the Los Angeles County seat. The citation was noted that the Defendant requested the County Seat and the citation had the address for the County Seat. Under CVC 40519(b) a written not guilty plea was submitted to the original jurisdiction where the citation occurred and bailed was posted at that jurisdiction as well. Bail and plea was acknowledged by the citing jurisdiction. The Trial by Declaration was mailed and received by the Los Angeles County seat jurisdiction (proof of receipt via certified mail return receipt). I received a letter from the citing jurisdiction ordering me to appear in person for a hearing. I called the clerk at the citing jurisdiction and told her the promise to appear was set for the County Seat. She told me the Judge in the citing jurisdiction issued a judicial order for me to appear in person at the citing jurisdiction. I asked if the hearing was a trial and she didn't seem to know but told me Judge wanted to talk with me. What are my legal rights in terms of jurisdiction. Again, the citation was signed for to appear at the Los Angeles County seat. Unfortunately I made the mistake of posting bail and entering the not guilty plea in the citing jurisdiction. Does the citing jurisdiction even have the right to accept my plea and bail when the citation was noted for the Los Angeles County Seat?

    I have just 2 questions;
    1) What were you cited for,
    2) Were you doing drugs when you wrote this post?

    Which court did you respond to?

    And which court were you cited into for the county seat? (I will have to do some searching, but, as I recall, there are THREE courts that are considered to be in the county seat.)
