Is there anything I can do
several years ago my life was a mess. My sister whom I had allowed to temporarily take my young teenage daughter( the childs wish). Little did I realize there were grander schemes about. Just last week I discovered that she and my aging father had filed domestic violence charges that were false against my father and daughter. I wasn't any where near them, infact i was having open heart surgery during one of the complaint. All of the charges were dismissed either before or after a hearing. My sister went on to collect child support from my X, I had always offered and did pay for anything I was told my daughter wanted or needed. There was an agreement(verbal) that I would allow my disability checks to go to my daughter to be saved for her education and a car and insurance when she was old enough to drive, the whole 4 years she collected $4oo a month in child support, and between 700 and 825 monthly from social security. She did not according to law deposit that money in an account for my daughter but had it all direct deposited in her account. I was not even aware that she had obtained a tempory custody order. She spent every dime of about 48000 not including money I spent on my daughter. When my daughter discovered this (just befor graduation) I paid for all her senior expences and she came home to live with me(then realizing all the deceptions her aunt had comited. She never claimed any of it as income. Recently my X reported to IRS the money she recieved from him and she was billed $3000. Her families reported income was 27,000 with her her husband son daughter nephew and great neice all living in that house. I have been able to get my mother to will my daughter 1/3 of the money owed my daughter from my sisters share after my mothers death. My sister is only agreeing to pay her $11,000 including moms money. Is there anything I can do (my daughter became 18 shortly after). Especially about getting those Domestic Violence charges off my record that were dismissed. Was the Social Security Monies that she direct deposited into her account (my daughter was not her child), taxable income on her behalf if so is it reportable and how
