Where Will a Child Support Order Be Calculated
My question involves a child support case from the State of New York michigain .
Im being petition for a child support order entered in michigain..
This is a uifsa proceeding ..
I have responded in to New York family court.. When the order is set will It be a New York order or a michigain order?
To recap it's a ivd case started in michigain / it's a uifsa proceeding..
I responded in New York..

Thanks
Should I hire a lawyer?
Re: Where Will the Child Suppurt Order Be Set
Didn't you already post a thread about this? Didn't like the answers you got?
Re: Where Will the Child Suppurt Order Be Set
Yes, as was discussed in the other thread, as long as the court is aware of his lack of contact with Michigan his support will be calculated under the New York guidelines.
Re: Where Will the Child Suppurt Order Be Set
One thing does baffle me is OP's statement that he'd actually prefer to use the NY calculations (per his other thread).
WHY?! The obligation lasts much longer, and doesn't take the other parent's income into account at all.
