Paternal Rights
Okay this is going to be a long story cut short. I was with a guy for 10 years and we had 2 kids together and we established paternity at both birth's and his name is on their birth certificates. We have split up many times due to his abuse of me and now I have been split with him for a year and the restraining order was lifted off by the judge of my boys so that he could see them anytime he wanted to even though the boys have made so many positive changes since he's left. He emotionally abused them and my oldest son is Autistic. He doesn't want to be their father he wants to buy them things so they will think that he is mister wonderful and I'm a piece of junk mother which I am not. I am doing the best I can under the circumstances I have been given, he has never once paid child support unless the state has garnished his wages. Buying things for your kids is not the same as paying child support, I don't care who you are. Anyway.... I am now starting the process of filing for sole custody with no visitation rights and if he gets visitation rights I'm hoping thqat they will be heavily supervised by a court appointed person. Anyway... I have a question about paternal rights. Would we have had to sign a paternal rights paper when it came to child support orders or is that something totally different? Please reply as soon as possible. :wallbang:

Re: Paternal Rights
I don't know what you mean. He's already on the children's birth certificates.
