Do Teachers Automatically Get Raises if They Earn Additional Degrees
Do school teachers automatically get a raise if they earn a higher degree? For example, if a teacher has a bachelor's degree, will the teacher get an automatic raise for earning a master's degree?

That would happen only if there is a binding individual employment contract or collective bargaining agreement (union contract) that provides for automatic raises.
Such raises were once more common in collective bargaining agreements, but schools have been resisting them in more recent years, both for cost reasons and for skepticism that an advanced degree improves a teacher's classroom performance.
