My question involves criminal law for the state of: NC
Please help me. I took a pair of earrings from a large set at Kohls. I set the rest of them down somewhere else, and i shortly afte rheard a code 162 on the intercom. i left a while later and nobody stopped me, got in the car and drove away. i am scared that someone saw me or caught me on tape. the whole pack was worth about 20 dollars. im not 18 yet. what are the chances theyll track down my plate or my parents card
Anything is possible. You're going to get caught eventually if you keep stealing. If you get caught and convicted, you're going to have a criminal record which has serious implications. It will cost you a LOT of money. You will also get a civil demand from Kohl's store "lawyers" demanding civil restitution for the expenses people like you cause the store.
If you get approached by anybody on this, keep your mouth shut. If charges are filed or the police insist, obtain a lawyer.
And keep your ass in or get back to school.
