its in San Mateo County but you don't know for sure
Yes, you CAN be arrested if you refuse to leave. That does not mean you WILL be.

what is the charge for being arrested while homeless?
It's not a crime to be homeless. However, trespassing and loitering can be charged as crimes. You can be arrested on crimes such as those. The airport is NOT a homeless shelter.
Re: Can I Be Arrested for Sleeping at the San Francisco Airport
well actually heres the thing the real story I came to the airport running away from home on a flight and a man came up to me ( a police officer) and asked me what I was doing there actually I asked him a question and then he asked me what I was doing there so I told him some bogus story that I was waiting to be picked up the next day and needed somewhere to sleep nonetheless he didn't buy it because my uncle didn't call and I didn't call because I said he couldn't or that I was waiting for him the next day I was wondering if I see this officer and make up another made up story does he have the right to immediately arrest me for trespassing or do you think he will let it go?

That is a helluva run-on sentence!
No one can predict what one officer might do. COULD he arrest you? Probably. But you don't still live at the airport, do you?
You cannot live at the airport. It's not a park and it's not a flophouse. And if you really are a minor and a runaway, he can and should take you into protective custody and return you home. Frankly, the officer did a crappy job of looking out for the welfare of a minor if this really happened.

He's not a minor. He is, if I recall correctly from his many other identities here, 18 and "ran away" from home. Which an adult who is not under court imposed supervision/guardianship cannot do.

If he is not a minor, then he can simply be shown the door or arrested. An arrest is a lot of work for a quick release and likely no filing by the DA, so he may get arrest and then a cite and release far from the airport.
