My question involves civil rights in the State of: Can I be arrested for sleeping at the San Francisco airport
just hanging out looking for somewhere to sleep for a night in San Francisco
Unless you have lawful business in the airport, an arrest is possible. You generally do not have a right to camp out there.
And,as a note, the SF Airport is not actually IN San Francisco.
its in San Mateo County but you don't know for sure
If you're a vagrant sleeping there in the unsecured areas, I can suspect that you will be told by the airport police to move along. If you fail to do so, yes you can and WILL be arrested for trespass. If you are a passenger who just happens to be stuck there on a long layover or cancelled flight or something, you'll probably have an easier time on the secure side of the checkpoints.
what is the charge for being arrested while homeless?
well thank you
I appreciate it a lot
