you have about 21 years from now to be able to be charged.

Can I be found guilty over allegations or do they have to have physical proof, will they issue a warrant for my arrest if they don't hear from me in an x amount of time or will the charges be processed or dropped after a period of time I just need a better 3rd person understanding perspective on the situation plz and thank u I'm not I pedophile or child molester or none of that an I'm not getting charged as that im in love with this girl and when the time is right I will marry her, but until then I need a better idea of how to handle this situation thank you.
My ex has a warrant against him for simple assault because he didn't talk to the police. His first ex wife and he got into an argument. Her mom took her to the police station. She had a small bruise. She said he pushed her and wouldn't let her leave. He told me at the time he did grab her to move her away because she wouldn't let him leave. The police called him because she reported it. They just wanted to get his side. He said "No you'll just arrest me." They said no we just want to talk to you. He said nope. They issued a warrant a few weeks later.
So yes if you do not give your side they could possibly issue a warrant against you based on the girl's story and her dad's. Or they might not.

What makes you think by the time she's legally able to marry you that she will? Are you really willing to risk your freedom and your life over a 16 year old girl? It is your life. You do what you want but I say there are better options out there. You should have ceased all contact with her until she was of legal age in both states honestly. Or find people your own age to date.
