Statutory Rape Allegations for Dating a Minor

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Illinois
So, I'm 24 my girlfriend is 16 she'll be 17 in December. Her parents knew we'd been talking for months, her mom is ok with our relationship the dad was uncomfortable but allowed it. Her mom lives in Kentucky and her dad lives in illinois. my girlfriend started telling him she was going to move to her mom's because she will have more freedom as she said. So, the dad freaks blames me an files statements saying I raped his daughter feed her drugs feed her mom drugs brainwashed her all kinds of crazy stuff. So he files statements charges haven't been filed they go an talk to state police and I'm assuming some social workers to talk to her for 6 hrs n she denies all the allegations until her dad scare her into saying we had sex in Kentucky and in Illinois. The state police have contacted me for my side of the story but I'm stuck out of state. Can I be found guilty over allegations or do they have to have physical proof, will they issue a warrant for my arrest if they don't hear from me in an x amount of time or will the charges be processed or dropped after a period of time I just need a better 3rd person understanding perspective on the situation plz and thank u I'm not I pedophile or child molester or none of that an I'm not getting charged as that im in love with this girl and when the time is right I will marry her, but until then I need a better idea of how to handle this situation thank you.

To put it simply; the age of consent in Ky is 16. If you had sex with her, or any other form of sexual contact, you're in the clear. In Il if you had sex or sexual contact you committed a sex crime.

Did you have sex with the child? Will she say that you had sex with you? Does the father know that you had sex? If yes, then an investigation can be opened which could, in the end, lead to an arrest, conviction and time with Bubba as your bestest buddy and cellie.

No, but if she's claiming I did and the dad thinks I did and their making crazy allegations can they arrest me or issue a warrant based on that?

There are usually several other crimes that can be charged even without intercourse taking place.

Thanks for the info guys what's the statute of limitations on those statements, how much time has to pass til it's irrelevant or whatever the case, I can stay out of cuffs but how long and in the case I do get arrested thousands of miles away what would be the extradition scenario. They'd probably extradite over that huh?

And I'm not going or giving myself up over accusations not happening if I gotta fight this in court I'm going to trial cause me and her both know nothing happened. It's BS and her dad should be charged for threatening her to a false statement. That's not right and should be unjust.

Y'know, it really doesn't say very good things about you that at the age of 24 you're "in love" with a 16 year old. How about you step away from the minor child until she's had time to grow up and then see if you feel the same way? Meanwhile, there are lots and lots of women your own age out there - you know, ones that you can have a relationship with and it won't land you in jail.

I've been waiting I've stepped back I still love her and im still gonna marry her soon as times right now all this bs with her dad is n the way, n it's such a different situation than that, I can have any girl I want hell I've had any girl I want, she's it for me I just know it, if I gotta go through all this I will she's worth it n trust me I've stepped back wayyyyy back lol I'm letting the time pass and we're both being patient. Ive been as moral as I can be with this whole situation and it still happened I'm so mad about it and don't know what to do other than stay back and wait like I have been but now legal matters are involved.
