Do You Have to Inform the USCIS if You Don't Go Through With a H1B Transfer
An employee was working for an employer on a H1b visa, applied for a transfer of the H1b to a new employer, and the transfer was approved. The employee then decided to stay with his original employer. Does the employee have to inform the USCIS that they're not transferring to the new employer? Does the original H1B remain valid?

The original H1B remains valid, and the employee does not have to report the change of employment plans to the USCIS. As long as they remain continually employed with employer A or B under the terms of their H1B employment, they'll be in status.
