Options to Stay in the U.S. After Graduation
An F-1 student is finishing his MBA, and would like to remain in the United States. He has a girlfriend who is a U.S. citizen, but isn't planning on getting married. What is his best option to stay in the United States?

If he wants to pursue additional education, he can explore educational visas. They will be nonimmigrant visas, like the F1, but would allow him to remain for further studies.

If he wants to seek employment, he can try to find an employer who will hire him as a H1B employee or perhaps a foreign company that would get him L1 status. There are other employment visas, as well. The benefit of the H1B is that it's a dual intent visa, meaning that you can hold that visa while having the intent to immigrate into the United States.

Perhaps the immigration office at your college will have some ideas for you.
