Polygraph Examinations While on Parole
A defendant was convicted of a sex offense and, when paroled, was ordered into a counseling program. The counselor decided that he was lying about his computer use, as he's forbidden from using computers or the Internet, and she required a polygraph examination. He passed that test. A month later she is demanding another polygraph examination. Can she keep re-testing him as often as she wants?
Re: Polygraph Examinations While on Parole
If he has been ordered to participate in the program as a condition of his parole, and if he can be ordered to take a polygraph examination at the discretion of the counselor as a condition of successfully completing the program, then yes, he can be ordered to take polygraph examinations as often as the counselor deems it appropriate.
