Should You File for Bankruptcy or Default and See What Happens
After a long illness, I missed a lot of time from work and had a lot of medical bills. I have no savings left. I returned to work, but my medical problems are back and I will soon be disabled. My total savings is less than $10,000 in a retirement account, and I have next to no other assets.
Should I file for bankruptcy, or should I simply ignore my bills and see what my creditors do. I'm uncollectable.

You should consider bankruptcy, and see if you can get help from legal aid. The clean slate may be helpful, even if you end up on SSDI or SSI, and you won't have to worry about being sued or hounded by bill collectors.
