If you're in the US, until you reach the age of majority (and that varies by state) your parents have full care and control of you - and that includes restricting who may or may not be around you.

I will also add that if some 23 year old adult got my 17 year old child pregnant, I wouldn't allow him around her either, and depending on what state I was in, I might even consider statutory rape charges. He had no business dating a minor who is six years younger than he is, letting alone having sex with her.

my parents wont let me around him . Good for them.

what can be done? He can stay away until you turn 18 and move out, or your parents say otherwise. As long as you are a minor, what your parents say goes. And if you continue to live with them after you turn 18, it's still their house, their rules.

I think its best for him to be around thru out this pregnancy. The fact that you are pregnant at 17 by someone six years older says that your judgement is not the best

You do need to take him to court for child support. He will also be allowed visitation time with the child. That does not mean that he has to come in contact with you. Of course, if he is in jail where he should be, he won't be able to visit anyone or pay any child support.

The time for your parent to keep him away was Before you got pregnant. Something tells me they regret not doing this and they are going to do all they can to keep you from seeing him now. As they should .

She's 17. Without knowing where she is located, we cannot say whether he's even committed any crime let alone comment on where he "should be".

In short, NO, you do not have a "right" to see your boyfriend.

Until you tell us what US state you are in, anything more is conjecture. Sooo ... what state are you in?

Dogmatique, that's ok. Since the state wasn't given, I should have refrained from commenting on laws being broken. It has been a very, very long week.
