Changing Jobs When Your Current Employer Will Cancel Your I-140 if You Resign
    Hi,
I have total 15 years of experience (5 years in India, 10 years in USA) and Masters in India. I am working as full-time to a media company.
My priority date is 04/2009 in EB3. I am still in the same job from the past 8 years.
I want to change the job to get the GC sooner. But my current employer will cancel my I-140 if I resign. In this situation, here are the options I have:

    1. Take full-time job who can do GC in EB2
    2. Go to consulting job who can do GC in EB2
    3. Stay with the same job until the I140-EAD Rule is passed. So that I can keep my I-140.

Which option you would suggest to me?

    Thanks
    Rao

Re: What is the Safe Option to Change the Job
Remember that a new employer will have to do the process in its entirety and may find a willing and qualified candidate so you can change jobs and be worse off.

Remember too that this is for future employment, and you do not need to be working for the company that files for you at the time of filing.

Consulting companies are a poor second choice; stay with a full time employer for the best future.
