Exchange of Exhibits, Exhibit Lists and Witness Lists in Bankruptcy Court
My question involves bankruptcy in the state of: Texas.
What does this rule mean: BLR 9013−2 − Exchange of Exhibits, Exhibit Lists and Witness Lists in All Contested Matters and Adversary Proceedings.
Filed Pro Se and received a notice;
"ORDER REGARDING THE EXCHANGE OF EXHIBITS AND WITNESS
LISTS IN ALL CONTESTED MATTERS AND ADVERSARY PROCEEDINGS
1. Counsel representing parties in all contested matters and adversary
proceedings shall review and comply with BLR 9013−2 − Exchange of Exhibits,
Exhibit Lists and Witness Lists in All Contested Matters and Adversary Proceedings.
2. ALL PARTIES ARE ADVISED THAT THE FAILURE TO TIMELY
COMPLY WITH THIS ORDER WILL BE GROUNDS FOR THE DENIAL OF THE
ADMISSION OF ANY OR ALL EXHIBITS AND THE EXCLUSION OF WITNESS
TESTIMONY.
3. All hearings are evidentiary unless specifically ordered otherwise.
It is so ORDERED."
Re: Exchange of Exhibits, Exhibit Lists and Witness Lists in Bankruptcy Court
It means exactly what it says. The attorneys are to review and follow the local rule, and if parties fail to follow the rule their proposed witnesses and exhibits could potentially be excluded from evidence.

I have no idea what this local rule means. Just looking for laymen's terms. Trying to figure out what prompted this notice.

Basically there is a set of procedures that automatically get followed in a bankruptcy...they are steps, basically. One of the steps is to submit and exchanges any exhibits that might be used in the proceedings. The court is basically ordering the attorneys involved with either you, or any of the creditors, to either follow that step or waive any rights under that step.
Its something that gets ordered in every single bankruptcy. It is not peculiar or special to yours.
