Can You Live With a Relative in Another State With Your Parents' Permission
My question involves a person located in the state of: Texas & California
Hello, I'm a 16 year old living in Texas.
My dad currently lives in Texas as well, but he has family members in California.
Would it be possible for me to move to California and stay with one of his family members (with parental consent)?
If so, would they need to assume guardianship over me? What would the process consist of?

Do BOTH of your parents agree?

Yes, they both agree. Also, they're divorced if you need to know that as well.
Re: Minor Moving to Another State with Parental Consent
Then you are free to live wherever your parents say you can live :)
Have them find out what your new school will need in order for you to attend. A POA (power of attorney) might be enough but they'll have to check.

Thank you! :)
Do POAs involve a complex/long process?

You're very welcome!
Nope - a POA is pretty much a case of filling it out and having the signatures notarized. No court required.
