OPT Extension Denial After Late Delivery of Application
Hi, My Initial OPT got expired on Feb 2nd 2016, But my application reaches USCIS on Feb 5th 2016. and got denial notice on April 6th.
I applied for MTR briefing the reason for this.
I have scheduled the delivery on Jan 27th 2016 which was supposed to be delivered on 29th, but its was delivered lately(10 days late with priority mail)
When I consulted USPS they mentioned due to bad weather conditions and technical error, but they refused to give any written statement. I have the receipt and tracking info and weather report at that time. There was a massive snowstorm Blizzard 2016 whole Baltimore was covered up with snow where everything was closed from Jan 22nd followed by 4 days.
The reason I took long time to apply, till the last month was last semester dues I was having with the college, under hard financial situation I payed last sem fee by myself after started to work with my EAD. so keeping in mind 30 day rule I applied for I-20 in Jan by clearing all dues and got diploma. I got proofs when I made payment when my holds was lifted, the receipt and tracking of mail and whether reports.
After all the attempts I made, I ended up with denial where that was not in my control regarding the delivery. What could be the success rate of my MTR and what other options I do have. Any experiences or advice's can be helpful. Thanks

Rules are rules. You were on OPT, but you claim to have been in school while working on OPT.
