Can You Move Out and Get Your Deposit Back if Your Apartment Has Bed Bugs
My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of:

    Hi,
    I'm living in downtown, Vancouver.
i moved in apt (unfurnished) on 1st April.
and i found a bug on that day but i didn't know that it was a bed bug. because i had never seen that before.
but after i got bed bugs bites i noticed it was a bed bug.
and i found several bed bugs on that bed.
so i told the manager and he called a pestcontrl and i got the treatment on 18th April.
but i've still found the bugs even on the floors and gotten bites a lot.
so i told the manager that i'd like to move out on June on 26 or 27th April.
and i asked that i can get the deposit but he said 'it is tricky and NO, because anyone can bring the bugs and the buidling isn't the problem' (i think i didn't see the minimum stay on the contract - but i'm not sure, so i asked how long should i stay and he said '6months' on the day of signing the contract, whic is on 22nd March )

but i'm 100% sure that i didn't bring the bugs. i found so many reports on the web site 'the bedbug registry' (after moving in this apt) and i just bought two things on 1st April. One is matress and the other is table from IKEA those are only things i have as furniture in this apt, so everything is NEW. i have no second hand goods. THANKS

Re: Can I Get Deposit (in Vancouver, Bc, Canada) - Bed Bugs Problem
This forum is for US law only.

You might look over the Residential Tenancy Act and your own lease to see what your options are.
