    Mine surprised me and never seen it before. The company on the label was that of the generic manufacturer but the actual pills were the non-generic and from a different manufacturer.

    It's not a good idea to "pre-medicate" yourself before the medics arrive in the event of an accident because if you subsequently become incapacitated, and can't tell them what you've taken or how much, and they administer more pain medication- well, you get the picture. Haven't we heard enough in the news about accidental opiate overdoses?

    You should get rid of them in a responsible manner (do not flush them; they end up in the water supply). Ask your pharmacy about old drug disposal. If they can't take them, they should be able to tell you who can.
