Can a Teenager Run Away to Live With an Older Sibling
My question involves juvenile law in the State of: WV and VA
I am trying to find some information on a situation involving my sister. She currently lives in WV, she is 17 and has obtained her GED. She would like to move to VA with me. Could/would she still be considered a "runway" if she moved to VA without our parents permission, even though she is no longer in school? And if she moved to VA and found a job?
Re: 17 Year Old Moving from Wv to Va
She can live wherever her parents say she can live.
Don't do this, because you could get into an awful lot of trouble if she turns up and you don't send her right back home.

And if she moved to VA and found a job? Your parents could come get her, force her to quit her job, and drag her cute little ass back where it belongs.
If your parents give her permission to move with you, she may. If they do not, she stays right where she is until she turns 18.
