Which state? In some states, swearing in public with the intent to alarm, etc... is disorderly conduct.
Michigan
whats a possible charge or fine for disorderly conduct?
Simply yelling a racial insult at someone is not itself a crime. It will not amount to disorderly conduct in Michigan. The crime of being a disorderly person is found in Michigan Compiled Law (MCL) section section 750.167. Nothing in there remotely relates to penalizing insults. Shouting things in certain circumstances in which it disrupts some meeting or gathering of people, however, can be a crime. For example, shouting out anything a funeral that might make the persons attending the funeral feel intimidated, threatened or harrassed, or that disrupts the funeral or disrupts the peace at the funeral is a crime. MCL § 750.167d. It is also a crime to disrupt a religious service or meeting. MCL § 750.169. And then there is MCL § 750.170, which makes it a crime to disrupt other lawful meetings. That statute is pretty broad. So the exact details of what you want to say and where matter a lot.
Why are you asking this question? Do you want to do something that you know will antagonize another?
I get the distinct impression that this OP has been here, quite recently, under a different name ... and didn't like the responses he received.

If you are picking up your friend Jack at the airport, don't yell "Hi, Jack!"
I was thinking of someone else entirely ;)
And your last line? I just about herniated laughing so hard. Poor Jack can never have friends pick him up!
