Threatened When Trying to Collect a Debt
My question involves defamation in the state of: Tennessee
My housekeeper quit and still owes me money for a vehicle I helped her buy. I had to go through the police and we also have a court date on 3-4-16. Since I filed this with the courts I've been messaged by her brother threatening to bash my teeth in and that I will be praying for death while in my grave that he's putting me in. There is a lot of vulgarity in the multiple messages and there are several other people doing saying the same things. I have filed a police report, but all of these people live in different states and counties. I would like to know should I wait and ask the judge when I go to court or is this terroristic threats. I can't and won't leave my house in fear of these multiple men or should I go to the judge now. Thank You.

    Re: Terroristic Threats
All you can keep doing is making police reports. Don't answer the phone if you see their number. Unfortunately as a practical matter it's very difficult to actually get a restraining order against unnamed people who live in different states. If you do have info, give it to the police.

You're not going to court about the threats are you? Just for the money?
