Asking People to Murder Someone
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Mississippi
This is about a murder case. A young woman was murdered and there are hundreds of suspects. One man who was questioned lives across the street from where the girl lived. The murder took place on Dec. 6 2014. The man who was questioned left town in Nov. 2014 and returned home in Jan. 2015. The FBI and US Marshals have confirmed his alibi. A racist who belongs to the KKK started a facebook page to attack the black people, and people who date or marry blacks, in the county where the girl lives. People began turning his page in so he decided he better lay off and accuse a white person. And he knows this person has a confirmed alibi. The KKK member made a post about him and someone commented on that post for people to; "Take him out". What can this innocent man do about this?
Re: Asking People to Murder Someone
Report it to the police if there is anything that identifies the person or dig a really big hole in the back yard and jump in.

This is an entirely different page. That one was removed due to the defamation and libel.
On this page, this person is asking people to murder an innocent man. It has been reported.
Re: Asking People to Murder Someone
It's relevant nonetheless.
Re: Asking People to Murder Someone
Okay, after reading the comment on the FB page, I cannot see ANY agency taking the time to investigate this. Since the poster appears to be in New Jersey or Pennsylvania, and the person being targeted by the "take him out comment" is in another state, this would be a long way to go for a local investigation (on a crime that may only be a misdemeanor). And the feds are not going to be interested in such an inane comment.
This comment is not going to be investigated based upon that single isolated comment. Move on.

I think a report should be made. I never said anything about an investigation.
A report implies a desire for an investigation. The police are not a hard drive where you store information. But, if you want to report it, call the police. Chances are it will be little more than a CAD entry (i.e. a dispatch note indicating that a vague and non-specific comment was made on social media).
What CRIME has actually been committed? I am not going to check the statutes of the two or three states involved, but, this is more than likely a misdemeanor at worst - and one that will cross state lines and, as such, not be followed up on.

It should be investigated because this may happen on our place isn't?
Could WHAT happen? There is no way that a prosecutor could make the argument that the vague post "take him out" is a serious solicitation for murder. Perhaps you should speak with the facilitator of the FB page and ask that they remove the comment if they can.

if it is the same facebook page as in your other thread it would appear it is being dealt with by Facebook

Nope. That thread was removed due to the same mess that's going on this one.
Did everyone miss the post where Leah asked Amber Ray if that was a death threat and he replied; "Yes. You included. Now Go report me you little wussy loser who condones murder drugs and being trash."
He said yes it was a death threat. Jessica Chambers Mystery 2

Nothing to see here. Just childish drama from some very bored people who need better things to do. Like working.
