Getting a Child Support Order With Your Spouse to Reduce the Amount Paid to Your Ex-
My question involves a child custody case from the State of: Maryland

My ex husband and I just established a child support order for our kids. He is now remarried. My question is if what he is doing is considered child support fraud, and how do I go about reporting it and having our order modified. Here is the scenario: I filed for child support because my ex stopped providing the child support agreed to in our divorce decree. I just got our support order established yesterday. The order was lower than I expected and when I inquired why, I was told there is another support order in place for him which impacting (lowering) the amount available for my kids to get. I said "fine, it is what it is", or so I thought. It was brought to my attention by a mutual friend that my ex had his new wife file for child support ahead of me to limit the amount of support he would have to pay for our kids. That way it would lower my amount and the money being taken from his payroll for that order would in actuality go right back into his household, but it would appear as it was leaving his home. He told the person that it was the perfect scheme and that he'd never get caught! In Maryland you can only file for child support (while still married) if you are separated and living in separate homes. After researching the information, it turns out the information he provided to the court is inaccurate. He and his new wife have just purchased a home together and when I take my kids to visit, it is to the house they share together...so, that surely doesn't constitute separation. I checked into the child support order he has with his new wife and it appears that all of the information submitted to that enforcement agency by them is false. They both used addresses that aren't really theirs in order to have a child support order put in place. My child support agent ran their state licenses and confirmed that the addresses they listed to create the child support order does not match their driver's licenses.

My question is: is this considered child support fraud? How do I go about reporting this? What is the process for child support fraud investigations? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Your child suport agent ran their licenses? They are providing you with information that they are not legally allows to disclose to you?

i think I would be more concerned with the illegal activities of people you associate with.

But go ahead and file for a modification of your support. If the other order was sought simply to lower his obligation to you it is a problem

tell your friend giving you all of this info to be prepared to look for a new job.
