Can I Be Arrested If I Was Caught on Camera After Shoplifting

A few days ago, my friend and I went into a sporting goods store. He was buying his father Christmas presents, and I saw a pair of joggers that I liked. Turns out I didn't have enough money for them... and I stole them(I have never gotten in trouble for anything related to law before in my life. It was a stupid decision/also my friend had no idea that I shoplifted them until later). Anyways, after leaving the store we walked into the store next to it to look around. Two of the people working at the store I shoplifted from approached us and asked about the Joggers and where I placed them, and I responded saying that I have laid them somewhere random. They asked us to bring our bags and help look for them, we agreed(I was scared out of my mind). I got incredibly lucky and snuck back into the store beside us, took the joggers out, and stuffed them behind something. The people working at the sporting goods store then checked our bags and found nothing, so they let us go. We proceeded to leave the store, and roughly twenty minutes later, I snuck through the back door of the store beside the one I shoplifted from, and took the joggers.

Later, I confessed to my friend that I did in fact shoplift the joggers. He went with his father and told the security that I shoplifted them. He said they checked cameras in both stores and have video proof of me shoplifting. I'm not sure if they know my identity, but if they do... what's going to happen to me?

I'm 14 years old and have never committed crime in my life before this.. I'm very disappointed in myself and I'm never going to shoplift again.

It's quite possible that they could report this to police after the fact. I'd stay out of that store for a while. If the police make an inquiry from you, decline to speak with them. If htey press the issue, demand your lawyer be present.

yeah.. also the manager is friends with my dad. So if he recognized me idfk what could happen.

You could be arrested and charged.
