Shoplifting

I am 18 years old, and i got caught shoplifting at Jcpenny..
I have court next month.. What will happen to me? is my frist time.
the total for the things i took wherelike $37 dollars. Do i need a lawyer??
i am going to get arrested. I am mexican..

Meaning what? Your illegal or have Hispanic origins? eitehr way it means nothing. You shoplifted and JCP request prosecution of all sholifts! contact a criminal defense Attorney to discuss your options including if you qualify for diversion

It is the "norm" for Police to contact Border Patrol once an illegal has been arrest for shoplifting. They are held "if" Border Patrol states they will coem get illegal if not they are cited and released. Now if OP fails to appear in court and is illegal he can then guarantee deportation!

It is never a very smart move to not appear on your court date!
