How to Apply for a Resale Permit
Filling out an application for a resale permit for a very small home based business:
“dollar value of your fixtures and equipment.”
I'm not sure how to answer that question. The things that I will use for business are some simple hand tools, address label printer, laptop computer but not much more.

My concerns are my residential property and non-business hand tools etc. might be assessed as business fixtures or equipment.

    Taxing Matters
Re: Resale Permit Applicaion - Business Fixtures
Not much I can tell you as I don’t know what kind of business you plan to operate nor in which state and locality you live. As each state and city/county has its own tax laws and they differ widely around the country, not providing that information leaves me unable to say what might be subject to some kind of property tax (which is, I gather, your concern here).

    You're overthinking this.

How much did the simple hand tools cost you?
How much did the label printer cost you?
How much did your laptop cost you?

Determine the prices, total them up, put the total as the answer to that question.

    Simple and accurate.
