Can You Get Married in the U.S. on a J1 Visa
My fiance is coming to the u.s. on her j1 visa. While she's here can we marry? She isn't subject to the "two-year rule".

She cannot enter on a J visa if she intends to actually emigrate here. A K1 fiance visa would be much easier, surely?

Is the question here, whether she can lawfully marry in the U.S. while on a J1 visa and then go home, perhaps with you going along with her subject to whatever status you get under the laws of her nation? Yes, she can do that.

If the question is, if she enters in a J1 visa knowing that she will in fact be marrying and with the intent of adjusting her status based on marriage, that's not a proper use of a J1 visa and it would constitute entering on false pretenses; she can discuss that strategy with an immigration lawyer.
