Entering the U.S. Through a Different State on a B1 Visa with Annotation
    Hi -

I have an approved Single entry B1 Visa with annotation:

    Company XX
    Cambridge Massachusetts
    Nov 2015

This is for a 4-week training in Company XX. Now after the Visa was approved, Company XX decided to move the training to Atlanta GA.
My flight enters US via LA California -> Boston Massachusetts. So my questions are:
    1. Can I change my flight to LA California -> Atlantag GA with the annotation I have?
    2. If not, what steps do I need to do so I wont encounter issue in CBP.

I am now considering LA California -> Boston MA then fly to Atlanta GA the same day or the next. If this is what I do, what problems will I encounter?

Domestic flights don't give a hoot about your visa.

CIS isn't too concerned where the country is as long as you had a legitimate reason for entry (as specified). If you get asked at the point of entry, just tell them that the company is indeed in Cambridge but the meeting you are attending is in Atlanta. To be safe have something (a letter from the company or an announcement of the training or something) that shows that it is indeed taking place there, but I doubt it will get that far.

so this means I can go directly to Atlanta Georgia instead of Boston even with the annotation on my VISA?
I am planning to bring an updated Invitation Letter as proof that the training was indeed moved to GA.

I don't see why not. Even if you were going to Boston, the largest airline in the US is hubbed in Atlanta anyhow.

    THey're more concerned that:

    1. You've entered with a valid reason.
    2. You have the means to support yourself here.
    3. You have the intent and means to go home (a round trip ticket for example).

You should also have with you your confirmed, return ticket.

Your answers helped me determine which flight to take.
    1. I have the invitation letters to prove.
    2. Non US company provided allowance and pay
    3. Im booking for a roundtrip flight.
I guess this should prove enough I dont have intent to stay longer than what was said during the VISA interview.

I just have read somewhere that the Annotation is strictly followed and of course I dont want to break any rules especially on foreign land. :)
    Thanks for all your help.
