You may not get any paperwork since it was given to you! Call your Attorney or bondsman to check on date otherwise your in even bigger trouble. Far as your Attorney goes remember who pays him you do! If you want to look into other options then tell him to do so. Keep in mind your Attorney gets paid no matter what. If he fails to get you off you could get max and plea deals are gone! You might want to see a second Attorney (free consultation) if you feel your Attoney is not listenning to you.

Much of what has been said regarding the difference between civil and criminal cases is, no doubt, true. My point had nothing to do with the difference. What I was addressing was the fact that O.J. wasn't charged money for any offense PRIOR to being found guilty in civil court.

To make it clearer, nobody sent him a bill when he was arrested...or after being found 'not guilty' of the murders in his criminal trial. He was only obligated to pay AFTER being found guilty in his civil trial. Does everyone understand that??

You're not obligated to pay a civil demand. If you don't pay, the retailer may sue.

Johnny I dont think fish is using therapy as his defense just trying to resolve problems that may have lead to his theft.

That is correct I am keeping that fact that I am seeking help/ therapy out of my defense. I think I would only possibly make it known to the court only if I would have to go to trail. But, I really hope on Friday that I can get my one felony 487a reduced and I am able to make restitution, get probation, and due some community service. You know the only reason I was charged with a felony is because the value was a little over $400. Even the police said it was really on the edge, but they charged me anyway. I am confident that the court will give me a chance to write my wrong and get on with my life.

I read my contract with my attorney. If I plead guilty it would violate the terms of our aggrement. $2500 down the drain. Is there a chance that if he argues/ fights the charge that he could make it worse for me? I should have come here first but my parents found out what I did- heard I was charged with a feloney and hired this guy . I only got 15 minutes talk time with him so far.

If you fight charge and lose (likely based on what you have told us) the felony charge will stick! You could see prison! If you enter a plea bargain agreement you will likely see case dropped to midemeanor with no jail time but I cant promise that. On what grounds or reason does your Attorney feel he can get you off? Sound slike you entered a bum deal with your Attorney
