Will a Misdemeanor Conviction Ever Disappear From Your Record
My question involves criminal records for the state of: Ohio
Hello all,
I hope this is in the right portion of the forums, but I may receive a misdemeanor for "Reckless Operation" in the state of Ohio.
Will this type of Misdemeanor ever fall off? (I have friends who have had this charge and after appearing in court and pleading "no contest," the misdemeanor later fell off)
Is the best time to "fight" this at the first court hearing?
Any experience on how much an attorney will cost to plead a "Reckless Operation" charge to maybe a moving violation? (is that even reasonable)
I essentially passed a vehicle in a turn lane, who then hit me. I then pulled over to assess the damage and the other driver did not, so I passed a vehicle on a double yellow to get his licence plate and call the police. There was a police officer several hundred feet back who pulled me over and issued me the citation. Please see the following thread for full details (not sure if this is in any way relevant to my question)

If this is in the wrong section please let me know where to move it to.
Thank you for any help.
Re: Do Traffic Misdemeanors Eventually Expire (Question)
Please keep it all in one thread. Misdemeanors are forever (at least this one doesn't meet the requirements for sealing).
