That's true, they won't.
But it's also true that her parents CAN force her back, with or without the assistance of law enforcement. She needs to be aware of that. The fact that the police will not force her back does not mean that she is guaranteed of being able to leave at 17.
Agreed. And let's face it, being 16 and pregnant doesn't exactly present the image of a mature, responsible young lady.
Such is life!
Re: Pregnant Teenager Wants to Move Away from Parents' Home
The life of the unborn child now has to be considered. What the OP wants and what is best for the baby may not be the same thing. What a mess.
Re: 16, 17 in 2 Months, Pregnant Wanting to Move Out
You're not taking in where she lives. Some states will not make you move back in when you are seventeen even though eighteen is the leagle age.
You just judge everyone don't you? She asked a question she did not ask for you to judge her based off of the small things you know about her.

Can you read, honey?
I suggest you take another try with this thread.
You're welcome.
Re: 16, 17 in 2 Months, Pregnant Wanting to Move Out
Telling someone that the law doesn't say what they want it to say is not judging them.
Just because the state won't force her home doesn't mean her parents are prohibited from doing so. Telling her that is not judgement - it's telling her the truth. Just as we told you the truth. The fact that you don't like the truth doesn't make it wrong.

I don't think calling somebody you don't know, and only have spoken to through a screen very mature? Yeah, have a seat as well.

Well, looks like it's time for crumpets and tea.
And, apparently, cheese.
