    Acult Child Wants Parents to Pay Her Child Support
    My question involves child support in the State of: New York. I have a order of protection on daughter for threating to stab me she violated order 4 times and was arrested, her twin sister has one also for child endangerment, she took her neice and was gone for 2 days and no call, was arrested for that, moved in with grandmother for a year and said to her i will kill u to another arrest and order she was on drugs moved out with boyfriend she is 19 in high school only had to take regents exam which was taken dont know if she passed she works and filed for child support from me and her mother we r still married order of protection is valid until jan 2016 and still going to court for charges. She just violated again 2 weeks ago by knocking on door, a full stay away order and boyfriend is abusive to her will her support be granted? Thanks for help

    You'll have to ask the court to consider her emancipated. Google "constructive emancipation" or "financial emancipation" for your state; the first hits will be attorney pages explaining what it is. It's also referred to as "economic abandonment".

    Then go and find an attorney if you don't think you can file yourself.
