Can You Get a Rent Abatement if the Laundry Room is Out of Service
My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: NY

    Hi everyone,

    My question is simple,
When I rented my place in Washington Heights in NYC, the realtor said the building has a laundry room.
3 months ago, the laundry room was discontinued, and the building no longer has one.

Since I was promised a laundry room when I signed the lease and there isn't one present for the past 3 months, do I deserve a remission in the rent? If so, how much should I ask?

Thank you all very much for your help.

Is a laundry facility included in your lease?

It is not, but I really feel like it shouldn't matter.

If you are presented with an apartment that has a bath, and then you move in, and find that they replaced the bath with a shower then you were mislead and given misinformation. I feel like this is a similar situation, is it not?

If it's not in your lease, there's nothing to enforce.
