How to Make Your Former Employer Remove Your Picture From its Website
My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: VA

We have asked the former employer of my wife that he take her off his website on 3 occasion with no luck. Please read below for more info on what was sent and let us know what we can do.

    Thanks,
    Rich

    Hello,

    Third request.

This is causing issues with Deena's work as well as confusion with parents. Can you please take this down or we will have to get our attorney to send you a legal request. Please have this down within 72 hours.

Also, you may want to have you manager/director contact the summer activity locations as they are still calling Deena.

I believe it has been 5 months since she was let go and this should be enough time for someone to get everything "structured".

    Thanks,
    Rich

    Hello,

This is the second request to have Deena removed from your website. I would appreciate having this remove this time, as it has been sometime from my last request. This is misleading as she has not been there since March 2015.

    Deena
Mom of four Deena has worked in education for over 18 years. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education, she leads the Super FSSDSFSFSFS Kindergarten and After-School programs. There is no better trainer than Deena when it comes to helping your child become a well rounded person, and training young martial artists.

    Thanks,

    Hello,

I hope that you are doing well. I would like to ask you to please remove Deena from your website as this can create some confusion for people in the community. I hope that you can get this remove promptly and please notify me of the change. The attached image is from today and she has not been a part of your team since March.

    Thanks,

Google brings up the link, she is still showing up as employed as a trainer by her former employer and I'm guessing she is working elsewhere now?

she is working for the Gov now and this is a conflict of interest as it shows her employed by the karate place.

As a trainer and director. He let her go in March and is now not responding to our request. I was told he also fired his website person which is why he has not taken her down.

Your next step is to go to court and get a judge to order the removal on pain of contempt.

Unfortunately, you're going to have to spend some money on an attorney because nobody here can give you step by step instructions.

Unless she's ACTUALLY employed by the karate place, it isn't an ACTUAL conflict of interest.

Re: Wife Let Go March 2015 and Former Boss Still Advertising Her on His Website
If this were going to be a conflict of interest, which no way, it definitely is NOT, there would be a question or two placed with her before they took any action or did anything. And it would only happen that anyone even noticed it if they were extremely unhappy with her for some other reason and were really going through everything they could get hold of about her.

Question: Are you still employed at the XXX karate place as an instructor? Answer: No, I last worked for them in xxx of xxxx. They just haven't taken that information down on their website.
    Employer: Okay.

Even if the employer called the karate studio and asked, I'm sure they'd be told that this person no longer works there.

So possibly an inconvenience if she does still receive misdirected calls. Possibly very aggravating to you personally. But a conflict of interest on her job? Probably not. Go on and have an attorney write a letter if you want to spend the money, and that will probably get the change made.
