My question involves criminal law for the state of: I was an officer charged with possesion. I went to court they gave me 2 years probation and forfeit of public employment. Is their a chance that I can leave the state and be an officer else where?

Asking this same question in additional sections of this site isn't going to get a different answer. A felon is either outright banned from being an LEO by statute or by practicality (you can't possess a weapon). Further, even if it weren't barred by statute, no sane department would hire someone who has a felony conviction obtained while ON DUTY.
Is there a chance? Yes, there is a chance. However, it will depend on the new state’s law enforcement certification agency allowing you to be commissioned and the individual agency being willing to hire you. The specific circumstances of your case will obviously be considered. But, regardless of other state laws regarding marijuana (or even the personal opinion of a LE administrator regarding the seriousness of marijuana use), the ethical concerns of your unlawful behavior will undoubtedly cause concerns. In other words, your willingness to intentionally commit a crime while serving in a LE capacity will likely be viewed more significantly than the minor nature of the specific offense.

Whoaa…I didn’t see any prior posting history. If we are talking about a felony conviction, then disregard my entire previous post. I thought we were talking about a simple, personal use amount weed possession (a misdemeanor in most states).
