    I don't necessarily disagree with you, but there's no law requiring it so it's up to the boss. If he says it's good, it's good.

    Try building a better case about your security concerns to the owner instead of taking action on what you consider should be the proper way of handing said concern. If he does not understand the risk, it is reasonable to presume that it is your job to make him understand.
