Can You Run Away Because Your Parents are Too Strict
I want to move out as soon as possible. I'm never allowed to go out. I'm not allowed to see my boyfriend, I'm made to dress a certain way, and believe a certain way. I'm not allowed to go back to public school. My dad beat me many times about a year and a half ago and I'm scared to do anything to upset my parents cause I don't wanna get beat again. I am 16 going on 17 and I don't want to get emancipated because I don't want to hurt my family. My boyfriends parents said I could move in with them and they would fully support me. If I move out and my parents call the cops would I have to go back?

Yes, and your boyfriends parents would most likely be in trouble for harboring a run away.

IF you are being abused contact child protection services.

The state is not going to allow a 16 year old to live with her boyfriend unless her parents agree.

You did not mention your state and its unclear what you mean about not being allowed to attend public school....in many states it's a violation of law to drop out of school entirely at 16. And parents need to wise up?

If parents beat you, beyond what one might call a spanking....it may be time to call CPS and police?

If she was beaten a year and a half ago, which is what her post sounds like, the time to call CPS was a year and a half ago. They're not going to do anything now if the situation has not repeated itself.
