Re: Spousal Support Obligations After Retirement
Of course there are unpleasant adjustments..Goes without saying..

Negotiating with him likely to be out of the picture, but we'll see..Had I been able to talk him into the prospect of me being able to keep my 401 K / pension, with him keeping the house as offset, we would already be divorced by now, no contest.. This is an outcome that I would be happy with..

He would still need outside employment to buy himself food, utilities, take care of home owners , medical insurance, personal expenses, taxes etc.. ...

I would live in a small apartment and support myself with my pension and earnings from an outside job..

If I didn't have to pay the WH any alimony, this would make all the difference in my life..I could then afford to find a fun low level sort of job..Something physically easier to do and keep..

The above scenario sounds like my idea of heaven .. Without the complications of splitting pension/402K/waiting for house to sell..
