My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: Virginia If you sign a 12 month lease in the state of Virginia for an apartment and get evicted after 6 months do you have to pay the remaining 6 months rent left on the lease? If the landlord rents the apartment out after a couple of months does that release you from paying the remaining months rent?
