Married To An Immigrant Who Is Committing Adultery
I am a US citizen and have been married to a man from Jordan for under two years. The two year "removal of conditions" is coming up in about 4 months. I have been luscious of him and had a feeling marriage fraud on his part from the beginning and finding numbers from other women and calls to his cell phone at 2:00am from other woman hasn't helped. I just today was going thru some things in his sons room and ran across a picture of him and another woman in the back of their closet. (btw- I signed for his three sons citizenship too)....well the pictures are very graphic (his *&^% in her mouth) kissing - hugging and so on) I'm so pissed off and I don't know what to do. He's very abusive and I have no means of support for me and my two daughters right now. He's or only source of income so I can't afford an attorney. Any Advice?

    Married to Abusive, Cheating Immigrant
You have, at the most basic level, two choices:

    1. Live with the jerk, and put up with his abuse and cheating.

    2. Divorce the jerk.

If you want to divorce the jerk but don't want to hire a lawyer, you can probably work your way through the process with a "how to handle your own divorce"-type book. Such books are typically available at major bookstores (e.g., Borders or Barnes & Noble), and usually include the required forms.

I thank you for the reply and stating the obvious. However, it doesn't seem quite as easy as you make it sound. I have two girls to look after. Of course I'm not going to sign the papers to continue his citizenship and a divorce is the only option but I want a peice of his ass before he "hopfully" gets deported back to Jordan. Him and his kids have made my life and my Girls life hell...and its not fair that I'm stuck with nothing.
