Possession of Marijuana Charged as Possession of MDPV
My question involves criminal law for the state of: North Carolina
I was citated for drug possession (less than 1 gram of marijuana) and drug paraphernalia (one pipe). I handed both over without a search.
From what I have found online, marijuana has been decriminalized in the state of North Carolina BUT the cop put MDPV down instead of Marijuana for the drug possession...that changes it from a schedule 4 drug in the state of NC to schedule 1. How do I fix the citation? Can I fix it?
It doesn't seem to be a major deal in NC for marijuana so my only real concern is with the bad information.

Which did you actually possess, MJ or MDPV? If the cop cited you for MDPV but you actually had MJ, do you have any clue why or how he might have done that?
