I am kind of like you on this. I wouldn't be thrilled to have a 16 year old dating a 20 year old, but I also do not think that a 20 year old who dates a 16 year old is a perv either. Nobody would if they were 18 and 22, and I don't see the age difference between 16 and 20 as, as much of a big deal as others do. Any younger than that, then I have a real problem.

I'm not sure what you mean by that. But since we are now talking about my emancipation. If it does go through ewould that make any difference in our relationship? would I still be considered a minor in the courts eyes?

I assume that your comment is directed at others, but for the record my comment was about the business, not the relationship. When you employ minors, and you have an adult manager who is looking for relationships at work with minor employees, you're setting yourself up for potential legal headaches.

Yes, I realize that. I also acknowledge that my opinions regarding the age of consent issue are also irrelevant to the threads in question. They might be inappropriate too, given the nature of the threads themselves. I do realize that.

Criminally? No since there does not appear to be any criminal activity.

Employment-wise for you and/or your boss? No as well. One or both of you could be terminated if the relationship were to come to light.

Keep in mind that many employers discourage or outright prohibit employee relationships, particularly between management and the employees they supervise! As mentioned, this can be a huge management liability and I wouldn't be surprised if the manager were let go if this came to light.
