How Can I Convince the Judge That My Ex Needs Supervised Visitation
My question involves a child custody case from the State of: Indiana
My ex and I (never married) have a custody case in May. He has joint legal custody because he took me to court for it last year. I want him to have supervised visits. I think he's said stuff about me in front of my son. I've never heard him say anything. But I think he has, so I want his visits supervised. Plus him and his "fiancee" are having a baby in December. So I told my ex that I'm going to have the judge do the supervised visits starting in December. How can I make sure the judge does what I ask?

It means that your history on this website can shed some light on your current post.
Do you realize that supervised visitation is ordered when the other parent is an actual danger to the child or flight risk? You've said nothing to that effect, only that you "think" he might be saying bad things about you to your mutual child.
And you're asking the judge to order said supervised visits on your say-so?? Not going to happen.

No, really - her post history. After this particular thread, I'm starting to think she's lilmansmom with a different nick.

I am still living with my bf, not my sons dad, however I am trying to get out of there and away from him. I told my sons dad that he could have our son until I get a job and on my own.
You decided that the father was not only a suitable parent to have unsupervised contact with the child, you made him the primary custodian. The only complaint you have shared with us is "I think he's said stuff about me in front of my son" -- a concern that may not have any basis in reality. Meanwhile, you're living with a man with a serious history of domestic violence, resulting in a felony record, who continues to be physically abusive.
Based on what you've shared, you have no chance of convincing a court that the man you recently decided should be the primary custodian poses such a serious danger to the child that he should both lose custody and have only supervised parenting time.

You're the one who needs supervised visitation, not him.
Ditch the bad boy if you want to change your odds.

Why would I need them when I'm not a danger to my son

You're clearly a danger to your son.
Dad's got this one in the bag, thankfully.

I'm not a danger to my son! I've never done anything that could even harm him! His dad's the one who left me and then demanded a DNA test. Oh but now he suddenly wants to b part of MY sons life.
