Can You Claim Asylum to Avoid Mandatory Military Service
Hi I am currently on B1 visa. I reached the legal age for obligatory 1 to 3 years military service in my middle eastern country which if I refused to do during the following 5 years I'll go to military court and jail.
what are my chances to get 5 years asylum?

It depends on the country. Conscription of itself won't provide a basis for asylum, but other facts can come into play.

why do you refuse to do your duty?
Re: Can You Claim Asylum to Avoid Mandatory Military Service
if you have to work in an army who kills its own people then its not a duty.
you are receiving the worst verbal and physical treatment ever in the army.
it's also full of corruption, for example, if you have a relative who works for the army and can talk for you, you may not serve in the army or in the worst case, you may work in a 5 stars hotel as an army soldier or you can serve for 1 year instead of 3 years service.
i'm talking about the Egyptian army which did the latest coup in the history
