    Emancipation of a Pregnant Teen in Oklahoma
    ok me and one of my home girls were talking and we know that there is no emancipation laws in oklahoma unless you are pregnant is that right or are we just getting half the story . Im 17 and if i got pregnant then i would have a house to go to with the daddy and a good job so would there be anything my mother could do if i moved out if i as pregnant im not look forany legal documents because i dont understand them half the time and i want to be able to know what you are saying so if you could just tell me 100% of what is up it would be greath thank you so much for your time:confused:

    Getting pregnant doesn't give you more rights. You are still a minor, so until you turn 18 your parents have parental control over you.

    Not to mention that being preganant decreases your chances of being emancepated not increase! You might also have to deal with father of child going to jail for rape!

    The confusion comes in because a pregnant minor does become MEDICALLY emancipated, meaning that she can make medical decision about her care and that of the baby. It does not legally emancipate her in any state.

    Even the thought of using a child as a means to be out of your home shows that you are not mature enough to live alone much less raise a child! Stay in school and make something of your life!

    i am not saying i am going to get pregnant just to move you got me wrong on that but this one girl i know is fifteen and pregnant and she got married and moved all i am asking you is this can a pregnant teen start her own life with her child if she is not 18 yet and if the father is around and has a house its not like they would be one the streets dont get the wrong idea of me i am just looking for answers thanks again

    You've already been given the legal answer.

    Evidently the 15 year old you are writing about, hasn't been reported as a runaway or it is possible the parents of this teen gave her permission to live elsewhere.

    Her being pregnant didn't emancipate her; she is still a minor.

    If she got married, her marriage would have emancipated her.

    thank you guys so much even though you sound kinda mean hahahaha just jokeing now i am wondering how people got the idea of telling me that when you are pregnant then you are amancipated do you guys know thanks for your help
