Can I Apply for Marriage Visa when Marrying Fiance Outside of Her Country
My question involves marriage law for the State of: texas
Hi,
I'm planning to marry my fiance in the country Lebanon. I am a US citizen and she is an Indonesian citizen. I plan to apply for a marriage visa for America after we marry. however I have been told that because I am marrying her in a country she is not a citizen of, this will cause problems when applying for the marriage visa or even will make it impossible to apply for the marriage visa without me marrying her in her resident country.
Is there any validity to this?

Its time to get a consult with an immigration attorney. Many years ago the solution to that would have been to file for a fiancée visa and have another marriage ceremony once she was in the US under the fiancée visa...basically ignoring the prior marriage. An immigration attorney is your best resource for what works now.
